Flower Applique Free Pattern
Finished size: 3 ½ “ in diameter excluding the picot
Materials:
Fingering weight yarn
3 mm hook
scissors
Stitches used:
ch- chain
ss – slip stitch
sc- single crochet
dc – double crochet
dtr- double treble
yarn over the hook three times; Insert the hook into the next stitch; *(yarn over the crochet hook and draw through two loops)
repeat * until two loops will be left on the hook; yarn over the hook and draw through the last two loops on the hook
INSTRUCTIONS
Round 1 Ch 5, ss on the first ch to form a ring
Round 2 Ch 1, sc 8 in the circle, ss on the first sc
Round 3 -*(ch 3, ss on the next st) repeat* 7 times more ( 8 ch-sp), ss on same st where ch 3 started.
Round 4 ss on the ch-sp; *(ch 2 (dc in succeeding repitiions), dc in same-ch sp; ch 2, 2 dc in the same sp; repeat * on the remaining 7 ch-sp, ss on 2nd ch of beginning ch
Round 5 ch 4 (counts as dtr) , dtr on the next st, ch 4, ss in the same st as the previous dtr; *(sc in next ch-sp ; ss in the next st, ch 4, dtr in the same st; dtr in the next 3 st, ch 4, ss in the st as the last dtr) repeat 6 times; end with sc in next ch-sp ; ss in the next st, ch 4, dtr in the same st; dtr in the next st; ss in the 4th ch of the beginning ch.; ss on the 4th ch of the beginning ch.
Round 6 ch 5, ss in the middle of the petal ( between 3rd and 4th dtr)
*(Ch 7, ss in the next sc; ch 7, ss in the middle of the petal ( between 3rd and 4th dtr) , ch5, ss in the same sp); repeat * 7 times ending with Ch 7, ss in the next sc; ch 7 , ss in the first ss.
Cut off yarn, weave in ends, and block.
