3.5 mm crochet hook

ss – slip stitch
Special stitch
Tall V-Stitch – (treble, ch, treble) in one stitch
Tall Ladder Stitch Pattern
Chain a multiple of 6 + 3
Row 1 – sc in 15th ch from hook; tall V-stitch in next ch; *(ch 5, sk next 5 chains, tall V- stitch in the next chain); repeat * until end of row, ending with ch 5, sk 5 chains and treble in the next ch. Turn
Row 2- ch 8, sk 5 ch and first tr; tall V-stitch in the ch-1 sp of the V-stitch below; *(ch 5, sk next 5 chains, tall V- stitch in the next chain); repeat * until end of row, ending with ch 5, sk 5 chains and treble in the next ch. Turn
Notes:
Yoke and arms are worked in rows.
Body is worked in rounds.
Instructions are only for medium to large size. Add or subtract from the starting chains to adjust to the size that you need. This pattern was never tested. Please manage your expectations.

Work Rows 1 and 2 of the Tall Ladder Stitch pattern.
Repeat Row 2 until you reach Row 12. (About 7 ½ “ in width) Fasten off. Use markers to mark the 19th ch-space from each end.
Attach yarn on the starting chain (see photo)
Row 1 – ss in each stitch (5 ss in ch-sp , ss in the base of tall V-Stitch) until the19th ch-sp and into the next tall V- stitch)
Ch 65, skip 11 ch-5 spaces; ss in each stitch across. Turn.
Rows 2 – 13 – repeat Row 2 of tall ladder stitch (12 rows of tall V-stitches). Do not cut off yarn.
Hold the right sides together so that you would be working on the wrong side.
*{sc in the first st; **( 3 sc in the ch 5- sp; sc in the next st, sc in the ch 1- sp, sc in the next st) }
Repeat ** 16 more times. CUT OFF YARN.
Repeat * from the other end, starting on the 4th ch of the beginning ch. DO NOT CUT OFF YARN
BODY
Turn the piece right side out. Pull the yarn through to the ch 5-sp.
Round 1 – Repeat Row 2 of Tall Ladder Stitch (note: work a tall V-stitch on each of the underarm seam) ending with ch 5, tr on the same st as the beginning ch, ch 1, ss on the 4th ch of the beginning ch. Turn
Rounds 2- ss on the ch 1-sp of the tall V-stitch, repeat Round 1 of body.
Round 3 – repeat Round 2 of Body. You may add more rows if you want a full sweater. DO NOT CUT OFF YARN.
EDGING
Working on the right side, *(sc on the first tr, sc on the ch 1-sp, sc on the next tr; 3 sc on the next ch 5-sp )
Repeat * around; ss on the first sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
NECKLINE EDGING
ss in a ch 5-sp; *( 3 sc in ch 5-sp, sc in next stitch) ; repeat * around; ss on the first sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
SLEEVE EDGING
ss in ch-sp; 3 sc in every ch space around; ss on the first sc. Fasten off and weave in ends. Use fabric glue to hide small ends.
